Grudziądz is located in the northern part of Poland, 120 km south of the port of Gdynia and Gdansk, about 70 km north of Bydgoszcz and Torun, cities which are the administrative center of the Kuyavian-Pomeranian region, and 230 km northwest of Warsaw. Grudziądz is located along the A1 motorway which connects the ports of Gdynia and Gdańsk with the southern Poland. The relief road, opened in December 2012, takes the transit traffic from the direction of Olsztyn and Nowy Dwór Gdański to the A1 highway. Within a radius of 25 km from Grudziadz there were created 3 highway junctions: Warlubie, Nowe Marzy, and Lisewo.

Grudziądz has a motorway connection with the ports of Tri-City. Thanks to intensively extended, modern port infrastructure in Gdansk and Gdynia, there function four container terminals with capacity of 1.5 million TEUs. The offer is complemented by two modern terminals to handle ro-ro vessels and three ferry terminals to handle passenger vehicles.
A network of shipping connections is also growing by the year. The two non-freezing sea ports of Gdansk and Gdynia offer convenient connections with ports in 47 countries around the world.
The nearest international airports are located an hour from Grudziadz: Bydgoszcz (70 km) and Gdansk (120 km). The largest Polish international airport is located in Warsaw (240 km).
Investment areas are located along Relief Route of Grudziadz (see Locatlisation).
